2 hippies

Hi, I've been real busy but I'm starting a new project with a good friend of mine. It is basically going to be an expansion of my recycling and building things from reclaimed stuff thing, as well as a lot of other things and we are calling it the 2 Hippies Project. I'm really excited about it. We are in the process of building a website and should have things up and running soon

Scarborough fair

 Scarborough fair was a blast! One of my favorite things is sitting by one of the pubs drinking a Scottish stout and watching all the colorful characters!

Window of my mind

 So, I had this idea and here is the finished product. The concept was, to take the old shutters and wood and make basically a window. The shutters open and close and when you open them you see a painting of some kind of exotic place. So, I have finished the painting and I am calling this piece, " Window of my Mind" for now. Hope Ya'll like!

  The first step to this piece is a, "Window" , made from some old wood and  some shutters I tore out of  a house I'm working on. Next step coming up!!

Captain Jack Sparrow

 I've been to busy to post the last few days but I'm back. I'm working on a new project, no pics yet, sorry. Anyway, We will be going to a renaissaunce fair pretty close to where I live sometime real soon and I will post some pics of that. Here is a pic from a couple of years ago when I went in costume as, "Captain Jack Sparrow" !

  You don't have to say it, I know I never totally grew up,lol !!

Nymphs

Hi everybody, I've been busy but ready to get caught up now! By the way, I went out last night to a concert that featured a Pink Floyd tribute band called, "Sigmund Floyd' and they were totally awesome! As soon as the band kicked off  I was instantly captivated. It is always cool when a band can really reproduce note for not great stuff like Floyd and capture the feeling and vibe of the group not just imitate.

 So anyway, I'm finished with my wall painting I think. ( at least for now) hope you like!! 8' x 12'

Easter Sunday Morning

Easter Sunday, "It's been a quiet week here in Lake Wobegone... and all the little Norw...", No, no nevermind, just kidding! It is quiet this morning though, I've been sitting around drinking coffee and checking on my plants that I planted in my garden yesturday. I'm in a little better mood today. So here is the almost finished painting, "Nymphs" !!

Friday

Well... It's Friday night, the week is finally over and I've got a few min. to write. Sometimes I feel like I'm just going thrugh the motions in regard to everyday life and the things I really want are almost within my grasp but I'm too tied down to be able to move in the direction that feels important to me. Ever feel that way? Anyway, I've been busy and not posting much but I do have a pic of the progress on, " Nymphs" !! Looks a little creepy but it will get better!

Well hope Y'all have a good weekend I'm off to audition a new Bass Player for the Band.

Sunday

Hey, Sunday morning, the sun is shining and I planted lettuce a couple of days ago and the cat dug it up. Yay for Cats!!! Other than that, everything is cool! 

  So, I'm still working on my Nymph painting and here is the next pic! Hope ya'll enjoy the process.

Almost the weekend!

Almost Friday and I'm ready to kick back and take a weekend off! I think I'm gonna work in my garden a little, relax and enjoy the wonders of nature and chill in my studio and listen to some Rock N Roll! OK, focus... get your mind back on the blog Dude!

Here is the first stage of my Mural entitled, "Nymphs". It is 8 ft tall and about 12 ft long and I'm using left over latex paint from house painting jobs. Not exactly recycling but it is a cool way to not waste paint and keep it out of the landfill.

Nymphs

Ok, Hi, I am in the middle of a mural called, "Nymphs". This first pic is the first thing I started with, a tree and some shrooms! lol. I really didn't know what I was going to do with it but inspiration hit me about a week later. Anyway, here is the first pic, next pic coming 2 morrow!!

"Beatles" shelf from recycled wood

  Here is a little bookshelf I made from reclaimed wood and left over paint. The photos are cut out of some magazines and laminated on the top of the shelf with 2 part epoxy ( The only part of the project that I bought ) sealer. I'm going to start posting about the wall mural next but I'm kinda sick and even though Obama is going to save me with health care, I'm still gonna have to go to bed!

Finished table

Well, here is the finished table. Painted with left over paint from a jobsite! I left the old shipping crate markings showing on the top because I thought it looked cool and put a clear sealer over it.

  My next plan is to start posting pics of a wall painting that I'm working on. It is 8 ft high by 12 ft wide and I'm simply calling it, "Nymphs"

Ok, here we are bright and early..ish, Sunday morning. It is supposed to be spring in Texas and it is nearly freezing, which is a bummer cuz I'm ready to wear shorts. Anyway.. here is the side table put together with no finish yet.

My new project
